Just call me Nadia

Marketing Freelance small business

In 2012 my family and I traded life in Amsterdam for life in Lugano, Switzerland. As a result, I had to leave my marketing job at adidas HQ.

I had a newborn at the time, and I did not speak the local language (Italian), which made it hard to find a job. So, I started a family blog and studied to specialise myself a bit more instead.

Four years later, we moved to Sydney. I found a job at The Goods Tube within a few weeks, but I also found myself pregnant again and subsequently had to leave the job nine months later.

I decided not to depend on office jobs anymore. I wanted to be flexible, work and take care of my family, no matter the location or situation. Therefore, I set myself up as a freelancer shortly after our second son was born and moved the business with me when we moved to Canada.

My focus is on starting and young businesses. Why? Because I love to be able to create a real change! Working for a large corporate made me feel like a small wheel in a big machine. Being held back by the bureaucracy of a large company, though comfortable and safe, was something I didn’t look forward to going back to. I wanted short lines, open communication, working together//alone, to help somebody unfold their dreams.

I do not speak big marketing talk. I do not create complex spreadsheets and large keynote presentations. I do not throw big words around to show how much I know.

You have a vision. You need help. I can give it. That’s it.

YOU NEED. WE THINK. I DO.
